The special education department views parents as partners in the educational process. Parents are valuable members at team meetings, and we depend on your input and partnership. Questions about specific information about parental involvement at the building level should be directed to the building principal.
SHPAC
At the district level, South Hadley's Parent Advisory Council (SHPAC) offers opportunities for parents to work with each other and with school staff toward the goal of supporting one another in providing excellent educational opportunities.
We have a SHPAC email list. Just email us at sbrissette@shschools.com or call the office at 413-538-5072 x 102 and we can add you to our group mail.
We have monthly meetings, scheduled at the first meeting of the year. The focus for our FY09 meetings will be "Transitions." Our first SHPAC meeting this year will be on Tuesday, September 16th at 6pm in the Town Hall Conference Room.
The SHPAC has monthly newsletters that are included in each buildings monthly newsletter. They are also listed on this web site under the "Information and Publications" tab.
